It has been a crazy week! I have been running around like crazy trying to get ready to head out to Dad's and Mom's for Christmas. I don't really have time to update you on the details, so I'll just let Jonathan tell the story.

Santa Clause is coming to town
Today the monkeys got to meet Santa. Garrett wanted to make a run for it at first. We got him to chill out by letting him sit on a stool insead of Santa's lap. Fine with me. He doesn't quite understand the Santa concept yet, so I'm glad to see he has a natural wariness around creepy old dudes.
Madelyn was thrilled. For the thousandth time she made it abundantly clear that an Easy Bake oven is her heart's desire. More than any gift in the world, I am looking forward to seeing her face when she opens that gift on Christmas morning. The camera will definitely be rolling.
Jonathan was unimpressed.

Feliz Navidad
Madelyn's class made cute reindeer t-shirts in class and painted their noses red like Rudolph. She was so proud! Apparently they also sang the Feliz Navidad song in class, as she went around the house singing it all day.

It's about time!!
I remember when Madelyn was a baby. I got her portait taken for any little excuse. Christmas, Easter, 1st birthday, groundhog day... 2 1/2 years later Garrett was born. Next month is his 3rd birthday. Poor little fella hasn't had his portrait taken even once. Finally today I took all of the monkeys and got their portraits done. I can not believe they all behaved and we got shots of all of them! They aren't exactly artistic or anything, but they will do. I won't have to dodge my stepmother's calls anymore.

Garrett Gets His Groove On
I'm still going through old videos. This one is also almost a year old, but I love it. We had an episode of Blues Clues on the DVR that Garrett liked to watch over and over. In the middle of it is a commercial that would always get him to jump up and do this.....
Looking back
I guess it is about time that I catch up with the rest of the online world. In one week I have put my first video on YouTube, and started a blog. Gee. Aren't I cool? Of course, this also means uploading videos that have been promised to Grandmother forever. That is one good thing. I have plenty of old stuff to fill in the dull weeks.
Last Halloween (2007) my Mom sent the kids musical Halloween cards. My little monkeys LOVE those things. I filmed it so I could show my mom. FINALLY, here it is:

Getting started
At this moment I'm not quite sure what the heck makes me think I will actually be able to maintain a blog. These days I can't maintain my toenails. What the heck. I'll just start with a cute video!!
