Yeah, I know, Garrett's birthday was a week ago and I'm just getting around to posting. Sue me. We just had a little celebration with the 5 of us. We had a great time. I didn't get many good pictures because Garrett absolutely refused to look at the camera. Here is the best I could do, and a look back at how he looked on each of his 3 birthdays:
Age: 3
Age:2
Age: 1
Madelyn and Jonathan got into the spirit of things:
The required Happy Birthday song was sung:
Madelyn was a bit overexcited. Jonathan was unimpressed.
Garrett loves his Spike the Dinosaur:
And if you are really a glutton for punishment you can watch him opening gifts:
I survived Christmas!!! Wow! What a wonderful and hectic holiday season this year. 2 major trips in 1 month with 3 little monkeys is quite a feat. It was all worth it though. The kids had a wonderful time playing with all of their cousins, and came home with more toys than I know what to do with.
The fun started at Nana and Papa's house. Garrett found his cousin's scooter right away.
Madelyn is a little more easily impressed. She spent the whole day playing with a branch off a pine tree.
Once everyone arrived, Jonathan finally got to meet some of the family, including Uncle Tom.
IT'S A CHRISTMAS MIRACLE!!! GARRETT IS EATING!!!!
Everyone had a good time.
Next stop: Grandmother and Papaw's. Christmas morning was abolute insanity. Children and gifts every which way you turned. Wrapping paper flying everywhere. I loved every minute of it.
Madelyn was very happy about her Baby Alive.
I think Garrett was a little bit overwhelmed by the gigantic pile of gifts, and the big crowd at my Mom's. While the others were attacking the pile, he retreated to Momma's lap and had to be encouraged.
Jonathan was happy to hang out with PaPaw and Winnie the Pooh.
Madelyn just about drove me nuts until we got home so she could try out her Easy Bake oven. She was so proud of herself.
